Public Information Workshop
FDOT held a public information workshop from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 28 2008, at the LaBelle Civic Center, 481 W. Hickpochee Avenue, LaBelle, FL 33935. This public information workshop gave interested parties the opportunity to express their views about the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study for the proposed widening of S.R. 29. The public had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the project team members, review project plans, and aerial displays. With input received at the public meeting, FDOT selected a recommended alternative. Please see the Documents and Publications page for all meeting materials.
FDOT held a public hearing Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the LaBelle Civic Center, 481 W. Hickpochee Avenue, LaBelle, FL 33935. The hearing began with an open house at 6 p.m. and followed with a formal presentation and public comment period at 7 p.m. The study team presented the recommended widening option and alignment alternative for S.R. 29. FDOT invited the public to attend the hearing and take the opportunity to give public testimony regarding proposed improvements. The department made a final decision on the recommendations - since the public has had the opportunity to review and comment on the recommended alternative.
